This Advanced Analyst role within Global Trade focuses on indirect tax operations across numerous countries. EY's Indirect Tax division manages global accounts and is expanding its international presence significantly. Our team is characterized by its dynamic, culturally diverse, and inclusive global workforce, fostering a high-performance culture across various business lines and geographic areas.
Lead the classification process and meticulously review analyst submissions. Provide expert technical guidance to team members engaged in classification activities. Proactively track deadlines and due dates, collaborating with management to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion. Demonstrate a deep understanding of client industries, classification requirements, and timelines, delivering high-quality outcomes. Conduct thorough analysis of complex and contentious cases. Cultivate strong internal relationships and mentor junior staff while working closely with management. Develop direct client relationships and professionally address client inquiries. Offer consistent, constructive feedback to team members, acknowledging outstanding performance. Spearhead the development, mentoring, and supervision of Analysts and Advanced Analysts.
We seek candidates with proven experience in managing multiple projects, demonstrating exceptional client and project management skills. Essential qualifications include 2-4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree or undergraduate degree in international trade. Candidates should have prior experience in the Global Trade industry and be proficient in determining tariff classifications using the Harmonized Tariff System. Knowledge of Export Control classification is advantageous. Ideally, candidates will also possess relevant experience within the biotechnology, medical technology, and/or pharmaceutical sectors, where understanding product technicalities and commodity expertise is critical.
