Join AWS Infrastructure Operations and play a crucial role in keeping the cloud running. As a detail-oriented Rack Lifecycle Tech, you'll be a hands-on contributor responsible for the physical installation, cabling, and decommissioning of racks in our data centers. You'll transform capacity plans into operational reality on the data center floor, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Execute precise rack installations, including power, grounding, and cable management according to AWS standards and MOPs. Perform structured cabling, fiber/copper terminations, and testing with accuracy. Adhere strictly to EHS protocols and LOTO procedures. Manage work orders, perform quality checks on cabling, and promptly escalate any issues or deviations. Support deployment readiness through site walks and material staging. Handle incoming deliveries, verify inventory, and maintain accurate site records. Complete all required as-built documentation for seamless handoffs. Execute rack decommissioning, asset de-tagging, and media destruction per policy. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying quality issues and suggesting process enhancements. Accurately use team tooling for work recording and asset tracking.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as Information Technology or Computer Science. Demonstrate knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment. Bring a minimum of 4 years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or physical infrastructure installation. Ability to work effectively in demanding environments, including cramped spaces or elevated locations, while adhering to health and safety guidelines is essential. Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies, along with hands-on experience in a data center environment (racking, stacking, cable management), is highly valued.
