As a Rack Lifecycle Tech, you will meticulously execute structured cabling, rack installations, and decommissioning activities following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your responsibilities include physical installation, precise cabling, documentation, and smooth handoffs.

Key duties involve performing rack and cable installations according to AWS standards, conducting tests like OTDR, adhering to all safety protocols (EHS, LOTO), and managing work orders through workflow tools. You will also be responsible for quality checks, escalating issues promptly, supporting deployment waves, staging materials, maintaining inventory records, and completing all necessary documentation for seamless transitions.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept Rack Lifecycle Tech. A foundational understanding of computer networking and Linux operating systems, along with at least one year of experience in these areas, is essential. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, and the ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds. Preferred qualifications include experience with data center environments, cabling best practices, managing work via ticketing systems, and familiarity with decommissioning procedures like device wiping and media destruction. The ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging physical conditions is also advantageous.
