Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role is crucial for delivering infrastructure capacity reliably, safely, and cost-effectively to AWS customers.

As a Rack Lifecycle Tech, you will be instrumental in turning capacity plans into operational reality. Your responsibilities include:

- Executing precise rack installations, including physical placement, power, grounding, and cable management according to AWS standards. - Performing structured cabling, fiber/copper terminations, patch panel connections, and accurate labeling. - Conducting and validating OTDR and power tests, promptly escalating any failures. - Adhering strictly to EHS protocols and safe work practices. - Managing work orders, updating workflow tools, and performing quality checks on completed cabling. - Identifying and escalating issues or deviations from SOPs. - Supporting deployment readiness through site walks and material staging. - Receiving, verifying, and staging incoming deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records. - Completing all required as-built documentation and updating CMDB/DCIM records. - Executing physical rack decommissioning activities as per assigned procedures. - Sorting, labeling, and staging recovered assets for reverse logistics. - Ensuring reclaimed capacity is accurately recorded. - Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying quality issues and suggesting process enhancements. - Coordinating with cross-functional teams like DCO, DCEO, and Network Engineering.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- A minimum of 2 years in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair. - At least 1 year of computer networking experience. - A high school diploma or equivalent.
