Job description

Join the AWS Infrastructure Services team and play a crucial role in maintaining the global cloud infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex challenges within data centers, ensuring the continuous availability of services that power countless businesses.

Your responsibilities include executing structured cabling and rack installations precisely according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedures (MOPs).

Key duties involve performing quality checks, updating documentation in CMDB/DCIM, and promptly escalating any issues or deviations. You will also support material handling, including receiving and staging deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Additionally, you will manage rack decommissioning activities, including asset recovery and secure disposal, while ensuring all capacity data is accurately updated.

Qualifications

A minimum of two years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or computer hardware repair is required. You should also possess at least two years of experience with computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair.

Preferred qualifications include an additional two years of relevant experience in computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations. Experience with network cabling, fiber optics, and testing equipment like VFL, power meters, and OTDR is highly beneficial, as is four years of cumulative experience in a data center or critical environment.
