Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for the seamless operation of global AWS data centers. We manage the intricate network of servers, storage, and power systems that keep the cloud running. This role is crucial in transforming capacity plans into tangible infrastructure on the data center floor, ensuring AWS continues to innovate and serve customers reliably and cost-effectively.
Execute precise rack installations, structured cabling, and decommissioning activities following established procedures. This includes physical placement, power connections, cable management, fiber/copper termination, and testing. You will also perform quality checks, update documentation in CMDB/DCIM, and manage inventory. Responsibilities extend to asset recovery, material handling, and ensuring all operations adhere to safety and compliance standards.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside a minimum of 2 years in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, and at least 1 year of computer networking experience. Familiarity with rack decommissioning, including device wipe and media destruction procedures, is preferred. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to execute tasks according to strict protocols and safety guidelines.
