As an ID-LB Cabling Infrastructure Tech, your key responsibilities will include adhering to stringent security and safety best practices within the data center environment. You will perform installation and testing of both copper and fiber optic cabling, ensuring accurate labeling and barcode creation.

You will utilize various test equipment such as power meters, light sources, OTDRs, VFLs, Fluke devices, network analyzers, and copper/fiber cabling test equipment. Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices, along with managing inventory of related materials and ensuring daily site delivery coordination, are essential.

Adherence to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures is crucial. The role involves working in challenging environments, including noisy areas with temperature variations and regularly working at heights or from ladders. Experience with a ticketing system and the ability to travel within the geographical work area are required. Occasional work in confined spaces, such as under raised floors, will also be necessary.

We are seeking individuals with a Diploma or Graduation in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project management or operations planning is required, along with 1-2 years of experience in physical network infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting. Proficiency in network cabling (fiber optic & copper) for 1-2 years is also necessary.

Effective English communication skills are essential. You should possess a basic understanding of computer hardware and network cabling. The ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrate excellent time management, and follow directions are key. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights or using ladders for extended periods and possess strong attention to detail to maintain high quality standards.

Preferred qualifications include a substantial background in large-scale data center network implementations and support. Knowledge of copper and fiber optic testing methodologies, the ability to read basic layout drawings and floorplans, and relevant industry standard certifications are beneficial. Previous experience in a data center environment, including racking and stacking gear and cable management, is highly desirable.
