Seeking a skilled Mainframe Technical Specialist to join our application development team. This role focuses on both the development and ongoing support of critical mainframe applications.

The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor, taking full ownership of assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with clients and team members. A solid understanding of Agile methodologies is beneficial for this position.

- Engage in the full lifecycle of mainframe application development and support. - Develop, verify, and execute comprehensive unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing. - Enhance existing mainframe programs and components to meet evolving business needs. - Monitor batch jobs diligently and resolve any abend issues promptly. - Ensure all project documentation is meticulously maintained and up-to-date. - Facilitate project communication, including status reporting and action item tracking.

- Proficiency in mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, and IDMS. - Experience in application development and support on mainframe platforms. - Ability to write, verify, and execute various test cases. - Experience with batch job monitoring and abend resolution. - Commitment to maintaining accurate and complete project documentation. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
