Drive innovative computational solutions by engineering and operating large-scale computing environments (HPC, HTC, BCD). Administer large-scale clusters, servers, and related software like Slurm, LSF, or Grid Engine. Implement and manage large-scale parallel filesystems such as Weka, GPFS, or Lustre. Operate within a DevOps framework, utilizing agile methodologies and configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet). Manage virtual private cloud resources, particularly OpenStack, and understand Linux system administration, TCP/IP, and storage subsystems.
Requires a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in operating, crafting, or engineering large-scale computing environments (HPC, HTC, BCD). Proficiency in cluster administration (Slurm, LSF, Grid Engine) and Linux infrastructure management is essential. Demonstrated experience with parallel filesystems (Lustre, GPFS, Weka), TCP/IP networking, and storage subsystems is necessary. Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles for compute infrastructure is expected. Experience with virtualized private cloud resources (OpenStack) and Agile/DevOps practices is highly valued.
