Job description

Join NVIDIA, a globally recognized technology leader, and contribute to cutting-edge high-speed SERDES IO electrical validation. This role places you at the critical intersection of silicon and signal, where you will rigorously test and characterize IO interconnects across silicon, board, firmware, and driver. Your work directly influences link margin, BER, and power per lane, making crucial go/no-go decisions for samples and production.

Focusing on industry-leading interfaces like PCIe, USB3, Ethernet, and UFS, you will drive bring-up and electrical validation with a commitment to quality, stability, and efficiency. The position offers a unique opportunity to leverage AI-assisted workflows, automation, and advanced analytics to boost validation quality, expedite root cause analysis, and enhance engineering productivity. Influence product lines spanning AI, consumer graphics, and autonomous vehicles in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Execute thorough electrical validation for PCIe, Ethernet, USB3, and UFS interfaces on NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, and SOCs, ensuring strict adherence to signal integrity standards.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, contributing your expertise in firmware/driver interactions and circuit design to facilitate seamless development.

Apply advanced debugging techniques to analyze complex HSIO bugs, working with diverse teams to achieve rapid issue resolution.

Diagnose and validate high-speed interfaces using state-of-the-art lab equipment, including DSOs and BERT, demonstrating expert-level proficiency.

Develop and implement test/debug programs utilizing scripting languages like Perl and Python to conduct stress and failure analysis on high-speed interfaces.

Pioneer innovative methodologies that harness AI-assisted workflows and data-driven analytics to elevate debugging efficiency and overall validation quality.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Possess deep expertise in high-speed/SERDES electrical validation and tuning, underpinned by strong SI and PI fundamentals. This includes a solid grasp of S-parameters, eye diagrams, channel margin, crosstalk, return loss, PDN noise, and jitter decomposition. Demonstrated experience validating across silicon and platform boundaries (CoWoS/interposer/substrate, board) is essential, with the ability to translate rack-environment effects into silicon/board characterization.

Exhibit expert-level proficiency in the electrical validation of PCIe (or similar) protocols. You should be adept with essential lab equipment such as DSOs, BERT, and protocol analyzers, alongside robust scripting skills in Perl and Python for test/debug program development.

Provide proven experience in building AI solutions specifically for electrical and silicon validation. This includes a track record of designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows and automation frameworks aimed at enhancing engineering productivity and validation quality.

If you thrive on tackling challenging problems, embrace ownership, value deep work, and are excited by AI-enabled engineering at scale, we encourage you to connect with us.
