Join Rippling's Global Payroll Operations team as a Payroll Operations Specialist, focusing on the APAC region. This role is instrumental in ensuring the success of our natively built payroll platform, which seamlessly integrates with Rippling's comprehensive product suite. Your contributions will be vital in building robust operational coverage, country-specific payroll knowledge, and scalable processes across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.

Manage and execute assigned payroll workflows for Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, encompassing statutory payments, tax submissions, pension contributions, and adherence to recurring payroll deadlines.

Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, tax-related issues, filing discrepancies, and compliance challenges, escalating complex matters with thorough documentation and proposed solutions.

Liaise with key government agencies, including the ATO, IRD, IRAS, CPF Board, and Ministry of Manpower, as required.

Maintain proactive and clear communication channels with customers, government bodies, and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring timely updates and diligent follow-through on all open cases.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Payroll Operations teams to enhance payroll accuracy, product functionality, tooling efficiency, and overall operational workflows.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Jira tickets, case records, audits, reconciliations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to ensure consistent process tracking, resolution, and replication.

Possess 2-5 years of hands-on payroll operations experience specifically within Australia, New Zealand, and/or Singapore. Demonstrated expertise in country-specific statutory filings, payments, pension schemes, tax submissions, year-end procedures, and government agency interactions is essential.

Proven ability to manage payroll cases, address customer queries efficiently, handle operational tickets, perform reconciliations, conduct audits, and meet recurring payroll deadlines with minimal oversight.

Skilled in resolving moderately complex payroll issues, identifying underlying causes, and knowing when to escalate for specialized subject-matter or cross-functional support.

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively update customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on case status, context, and next steps.

Exhibit a high degree of attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality in fast-paced, time-sensitive payroll environments, including precise documentation and practical SOP maintenance.

Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office for data analysis and workflow management. Familiarity with Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence is considered a significant advantage.

Ability to align work hours with Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), approximately 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM IST.
