Join Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to our innovative Meetings & Events technology portfolio. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and supporting cutting-edge applications within the Enterprise Services Digital Products Portfolio.

This role involves partnering with both internal teams and external developers to create robust, scalable solutions that address critical business needs across BCG. Embrace end-to-end technical ownership, merging hands-on development with strategic solution design and continuous improvement.

Take full technical ownership of assigned applications and modules, ensuring their quality, reliability, and ongoing enhancement. Translate complex business and functional requirements into practical, scalable technical designs and implementations. Provide essential technical guidance and conduct thorough code and design reviews for external development partners. Effectively troubleshoot production issues, pinpoint root causes, and deliver sustainable, timely resolutions.

Contribute actively to architectural decisions, integration strategies, security protocols, DevOps practices, and cloud-native engineering. Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, project managers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional solutions. Proactively identify technical debt, engineering risks, and areas for improvement, driving necessary remediation efforts.

A college degree coupled with over 6 years of hands-on software engineering experience is required. Proficiency in .NET/.NET Core, JavaScript, and modern web application development is essential. Demonstrable experience with SQL Server or Oracle, and strong data-access design principles, are also key. Experience building and integrating REST APIs and microservices-based applications is crucial.

Familiarity with React or Angular and contemporary front-end engineering practices is expected. Practical exposure to cloud-based development, Git, Agile methodologies, and DevOps workflows is necessary. While not mandatory, knowledge of technologies such as MongoDB, DBT, Snowflake, Docker, MuleSoft/Kong, AI/GenAI, AWS, Azure, or GCP would be advantageous.
