Join Boston Consulting Group as an IT Software Engineer Manager and take a leading role in developing and maintaining INFOex, our critical case team data management platform. This full-stack role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies and contribute to a business-critical application that ensures the secure and responsible management of client information.
INFOex integrates bespoke full-stack development with Microsoft 365 capabilities, adhering to strict regulatory requirements. As part of the Digital Collaboration portfolio, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and ensuring the reliability of features from concept to production, supporting the daily operations of our case teams and staff.
This is a hands-on position where your primary focus will be on writing high-quality, modular, and testable code, alongside reviewing the work of peers. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner to translate evolving risk and compliance needs into well-defined user stories and effective solutions. Proactive problem-solving and proposing technical designs will be key to your success.
Engage in full-stack development, extending .NET services and APIs, developing React frontends, and managing data models in Azure SQL and Dataverse. Build and refactor Power Apps and Power Automate flows, integrating them with Microsoft Graph API for SharePoint and Teams provisioning. Collaborate on technical designs with senior engineers and portfolio architects, and guide features through the release process. Proactively identify and propose solutions to challenges, rather than waiting for detailed specifications. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the platform, including CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, secret management, and vulnerability assessments. Prioritize engineering rigor and a security-first mindset, given the confidential nature of the data handled. Mentor junior and vendor engineers over time, contributing to technical guidance within the squad.
A minimum of 8 years of full-stack software engineering experience, including enterprise product development with a live user base. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), including CI/CD and Azure DevOps; custom plugin experience is advantageous. Proficiency in C# / .NET and Python, with strong skills in modern JavaScript or TypeScript frontend frameworks like React. Solid Azure engineering experience with App Services, Storage, Key Vault, and Azure SQL, including foundational identity principles. Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Graph API, with a focus on SharePoint Online and Teams provisioning, permissions, and lifecycle management. Experience with information protection tools like Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, retention policies) is a significant advantage. Preferred experience in delivering compliance-driven or data protection products in regulated environments. Familiarity with agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and the ability to interpret requirements and propose solutions. Possession of Microsoft PL-900 certification is mandatory; AZ-900 and SC-900 certifications are preferred. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are essential for global collaboration.
