Boston Consulting Group (BCG) seeks a seasoned IT Project Specialist for Meetings & Events. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring seamless AV and IT technology for both in-person and hybrid meetings, partnering closely with meeting owners to align technology deployment with event objectives. You will provide expert advice on key features, guide event execution for an exceptional attendee and presenter experience, and collaborate with venues and AV partners. This position is instrumental in developing and maturing our global Meetings and Events Technology Services (METS) AV/IT team, ensuring our capabilities scale with business growth.

You will be responsible for the technical support of all AV and IT needs for in-person and hybrid meetings, acting as a key IT partner on-site. This involves advising on technology features to meet agenda requirements and ensuring flawless event execution. Collaboration with global METS AV/IT teams is essential for developing and enhancing event execution operations. You will also work closely with meeting owners across various functions, including Marketing, Learning & Development, and Recruiting, as well as with internal IT teams and external vendors.

Ideal candidates possess multiple years of experience within a global IT organization, preferably in professional services, with a proven track record in vendor collaboration for technical event outcomes. Strong experience in full-lifecycle event project management, coupled with a deep understanding of BCG's technical environment (laptop imaging, break-fix, attendee support), is required. Expertise in Audio Visual technology for meetings and a solid IT background are essential. Experience supporting event technologies like wireless networks, VPN, SSIDs, and wireless profiles is highly beneficial. Significant travel, up to 50%, with potential for weekend work and international travel, is expected.
