Join Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Manager for our Global IT Platform Engineering team, focusing on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud ERP. You will be the technical lead, guiding architectural decisions and driving solutions for critical finance function requirements. This role operates within an Agile squad, emphasizing technical direction, best practices, and ensuring the scalability of our ABAP Cloud extensibility landscape.

As a technical leader, you'll collaborate closely with functional and finance teams to translate complex needs into robust, future-proof architectures. You will also mentor junior and mid-level engineers, elevating the entire team's capabilities and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Architect end-to-end extensibility solutions for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, aligning business needs with SAP's Clean Core principles. Lead solution design for complex WRICEF objects, RAP Business Objects, and API integrations, ensuring scalability and upgrade compliance.

Establish and enforce ABAP development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns. Govern peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to Clean Core and OOP principles. Drive performance tuning and optimization at an architectural level.

Design and implement advanced CDS Views, RAP BOs, BADIs, and APIs. Oversee transport request strategy, including sequencing and dependency management. Perform deep-dive issue analysis and root cause analysis for critical environment issues.

Requires 10+ years of ABAP development experience, with a minimum of 2–3 years specifically in S/4HANA Cloud. Demonstrated experience in a technical architect or lead role, with ownership of solution design for complex ERP extensibility programs.

Possess deep expertise in CDS View modeling, RAP BO lifecycle, WRICEF object development, Key User and Developer Extensibility frameworks, SAP API configuration, BADI implementation with upgrade-safe techniques, and Adobe Forms in S/4HANA Cloud. Strong grasp of Object-Oriented ABAP, Design Patterns, and job creation/monitoring in cloud environments is essential.

Familiarity with SAP Clean Core strategy and its practical implications for extensibility decisions is required. Proven ability to set technical direction, govern standards, and influence stakeholders without formal authority. Experience coaching and mentoring engineers across different seniority levels is crucial. Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences are a must.
