Join Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Platform Engineer, instrumental in shaping the future of our GenAI capabilities. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable platforms that power innovative GenAI-driven solutions across the firm. You will collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to ensure these solutions are reliable, secure, and ready for production, blending traditional platform engineering with cutting-edge AI services for marketing use cases like content generation and campaign intelligence.

Your primary responsibility will be to construct and manage core platforms and integrations essential for GenAI-enabled marketing products. This includes engineering robust, secure, and high-performing environments for GenAI applications. You will partner with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into tangible platform features. Enabling seamless integration between GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, data sources, and internal systems will be key. You will also support platform components for LLM-based applications, manage platform upgrades and lifecycle, and contribute to proofs of concept for new technologies. Ensuring platforms adhere to enterprise security and compliance standards is paramount.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 6-8 years of experience in platform or software engineering. Expertise in cloud-native platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential. Proficiency in backend development and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript/TypeScript is necessary. You should have proven experience with API design, integrations, event-driven systems, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. A strong understanding of cloud-native solutions, platform-as-a-product concepts, security, and enterprise platform standards is expected.
