Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking a Platform Engineer Manager to join our CT GenAI Portfolio. This role involves designing, building, and operating scalable platforms that empower GenAI capabilities across the firm. You will collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to ensure GenAI solutions are reliable, secure, and production-ready.

While your core expertise lies in platform engineering, your scope will expand to include AI-enabled services, integrations, and workflows. These will support various marketing use cases, such as content generation, personalization, campaign intelligence, and deriving actionable insights.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining core platforms and integrations for GenAI-enabled marketing products. You will engineer and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance environments for GenAI applications.

This role requires partnering with Product Owners and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into robust platform capabilities. You will enable seamless integration between GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, data sources, and internal systems. Support for platform components like orchestration, monitoring, access control, and observability for LLM-based applications is also crucial.

Additionally, you will lead platform upgrades, performance optimization, and lifecycle management. Supporting proofs of concept for emerging GenAI and marketing technologies and ensuring platforms meet enterprise standards for security, compliance, and reliability are key. Documenting platform designs, patterns, and best practices will drive reuse across the GenAI portfolio.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 6–8 years of experience in platform engineering, software engineering, or IT systems. Strong proficiency with cloud-native platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.

Candidates should possess expertise in backend development and scripting languages like Python and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in designing and supporting APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems is required. Proven experience with platform upgrades, performance optimization, and operational excellence is a must.

Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code is necessary. A solid understanding of Cloud Native solutions, platform-as-product concepts, and enterprise platform standards, including security and access control, is also vital. Experience enabling or supporting GenAI/LLM-based applications is a plus.
