Join Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Global IT Platform Engineer Manager and play a pivotal role in the Engineering Toolkit Squad. This position is key to enhancing the engineering experience for BCG X case teams by delivering robust, secure, and scalable engineering capabilities. You will be instrumental in driving the firm's AI enablement initiatives, with a strategic focus on Generative AI, and will lead the evolution of critical developer platforms.
Your expertise will enable engineers to concentrate on solving complex client problems. This role involves leading significant platform projects, resolving intricate technical issues, and fostering collaboration across engineering, infrastructure, and business departments to boost the reliability, security, and adoption of our developer ecosystem.
Drive AI enablement through the design and implementation of practical Generative AI solutions for engineering teams. Lead the continuous improvement of essential developer platforms like GitHub Enterprise, JFrog Artifactory, and Gurobi Optimizer. Assess new technologies and recommend solutions aligned with engineering needs, risk tolerance, scalability, and business objectives. Effectively manage and resolve complex platform, infrastructure, and security challenges within both Windows and Linux environments. Identify and mitigate platform risks and dependencies through cross-team collaboration. Enhance engineer productivity via automation, self-service options, and low-code/no-code platforms. Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities and execute large-scale platform initiatives. Facilitate knowledge transfer through comprehensive documentation, training, and mentorship, empowering teams for greater independence.
Possess deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise, including its components such as Copilot, Actions, and Codespaces, along with developer security tools. Demonstrate strong experience administering JFrog Artifactory, encompassing Xray, Projects, repository management, and storage governance. Show proven ability in managing Gurobi Optimizer environments and supporting on-premises compute infrastructure. Exhibit robust Windows and Linux skills, including platform administration, automation, networking, and security. Be proficient in scripting languages like Python or Shell for automating complex operational tasks. Have experience applying AI technologies, particularly Generative AI, to solve practical engineering problems. Capable of leading complex technical projects, resolving critical issues, and effectively transferring knowledge across diverse teams.
