This role is central to advancing our data capabilities, working with functional product leaders, product owners, and cross-functional teams in software development, SaaS, AI, and data. You will collaborate with enterprise data platform, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to build and maintain state-of-the-art data solutions.

As a Senior Manager, Data Engineer, you will design, document, and construct robust data pipelines and transformations for Snowflake data models. You will own and manage the overall data model, including entity definitions, relationships, and documentation. Developing automated and manual testing strategies to ensure data accuracy and completeness will be key.

You will be responsible for data mapping and source system analysis, translating functional requirements into detailed build specifications, and leading solution design and technical architecture. This position requires providing day-to-day technical leadership to the data engineering team, conducting quality reviews of team members' work, and offering feedback for professional growth. You will also drive technical planning, delivery, measurement, operations, and support for all assets developed and maintained by the team.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in information science, data management, computer science, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of IT/engineering experience focused on data warehousing, analytics, or data engineering is essential.

Essential hands-on experience includes developing with dbt and working with Snowflake or similar modern analytical data warehouses. Proven experience in designing and building SCDs, CDC pipelines, and DQ/DV frameworks is required. Familiarity with designing and building data models for analytical and operational workloads, including dimensional modeling and data vault concepts, is crucial. Experience working within agile methodologies like Scrum with cross-functional teams is also necessary. Excellent written and oral communication skills are vital for presenting architecture, features, and solution recommendations. Strong analytical skills for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets are expected. You should demonstrate a deep understanding of advanced SQL and analytical data warehouses, with hands-on experience in SQL database design, dbt development, and familiarity with Python (especially pyspark), AWS Glue, and AWS cloud. Experience with Jira and Confluence is beneficial. An eagerness to stay abreast of advancements in data engineering and AI-assisted engineering practices is highly valued. As this role involves significant collaboration, expect to work from a BCG office or in person with clients approximately 50% of the time.
