Boston Consulting Group (BCG) seeks a Senior Manager, Global IT Data Architect to lead data architecture initiatives. As a Senior Manager, you will be instrumental in defining robust data architectures, evaluating cutting-edge technologies, and mentoring technical teams. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and driving innovation in data management and analytics.

Define and implement data architecture for key domains within the Data Products Portfolio, ensuring a modern and efficient data ecosystem. Evaluate and recommend data-related tools and technologies, establishing appropriate implementation patterns and standard methodologies. Collaborate with Enterprise Data Architects on standards and conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate their implementation. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to Data Engineers and Data Analysts within the Data & Solution Architecture team. Develop and maintain processes, standards, policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks for consistent application across the company. Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to visualize key business entities and their relationships. Engage with business and IT teams to thoroughly understand data requirements and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary. Present architecture designs and solutions to both technical and business audiences, ensuring clarity and buy-in. Partner with Technology, Data Stewards, and Product teams in an Agile framework, ensuring project goals and deadlines are met. Champion architecture throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a trusted technical partner to shape key decisions and drive adoption of scalable solutions.

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, preferably in information science, data management, or computer science.

Possess over 12 years of IT experience with a strong focus on data warehousing and database projects. Demonstrate expertise in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks) and databases, including data catalog and MDM. Proficient in writing SQL and database procedures, alongside expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Skilled in designing solution architectures that consider integration points, data flows, and security vulnerabilities. Experienced with data storage, ETL/ELT processes, and data analytics tools such as Talend, dbt, Attunity, Fivetran, and BI platforms like Tableau and Power BI. Proven experience in Data Warehousing design, development, and BI/Analytical systems, as well as working within Agile methodologies. Strong hands-on experience in data and analytics data architecture, solution design, and engineering. Familiarity with cloud big data technologies including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills are essential for articulating architecture, features, and solution recommendations.
