Join Boston Consulting Group as a Global IT Configuration Engineer Manager and drive critical HR system solutions. This role focuses on hands-on configuration within Workday, specializing in Advanced Compensation modules. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated compensation frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with other HR systems.

Design and implement intricate variable pay, merit, and bonus structures within Workday, including compensation review statements.

Manage the end-to-end execution of annual salary reviews, mass operations, and merit grid setups.

Configure Business Process Frameworks, condition rules, validations, and complex calculated fields.

Collaborate with product teams and HR leaders to develop scalable system-wide solutions.

Conduct thorough testing, validate configurations, and troubleshoot system defects during Workday releases.

Create comprehensive specification documents for application modifications and new functionality.

Ensure compensation data accuracy and maintain internal compliance and audit processes.

Stay updated on Workday technologies, trends, and best practices, acting as an evangelist for future initiatives.

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Information Systems is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of in-depth, hands-on configuration experience specifically with Workday Advanced Compensation and Core Compensation.

A strong understanding of merit pools, compensation review statements, proration rules, scorecards, grade setups, and eligibility rules is essential. Familiarity with integration points to Core HCM, Talent modules, and third-party payroll systems is also a must.

Certification as a Workday Pro in Advanced Compensation is highly preferred. Prior consulting experience as a Workday Comp Lead or architect on implementation projects, especially within large, global organizations with complex enterprise-scale compensation setups, is strongly preferred.

Experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality before deployment is preferred. Familiarity with Workday Docs, BIRT, and Workday Security Configuration is beneficial. Strong technical troubleshooting skills, including debugging and performance analysis, are preferred. Proficiency in stakeholder management, offering training and support to end-users, and delivering exceptional customer service for L3 support items is also preferred.
