Join Boston Consulting Group as a Manager – SaaS Engineering for SAP Fieldglass, a pivotal role focused on the global implementation of SAP Fieldglass. This position is crucial for shaping the end-to-end configuration strategy, ensuring seamless design, build, and deployment aligned with our global operating model.
This is a hands-on opportunity requiring deep expertise in SAP Fieldglass. You will act as the internal design authority, collaborating closely with implementation partners, product analysts, and cross-functional teams to guarantee technical excellence throughout the configuration, testing, and deployment stages.
Effectively balance strategic planning with detailed configuration work to ensure the solution is scalable, compliant, and sustainable long-term. You will also serve as the team's go-to expert for Fieldglass reporting, maintaining high standards and providing ongoing support to end-users.
Lead the global configuration design for SAP Fieldglass, encompassing workflows, approval chains, business rules, compliance controls, rate structures, complex pricing models, SOW, and milestone billing configurations. Establish robust configuration standards and governance processes, acting as the primary technical liaison with system integrators and external partners.
Validate and critically assess solution designs to ensure they meet scalability and business objectives. Oversee integration design and validation with key systems like Workday, SAP S4HANA, and Coupa. Conduct configuration build reviews and ensure technical quality assurance. Manage quarterly SAP Fieldglass release assessments and regression strategies during implementation, while identifying and mitigating risks related to data, compliance, and architecture. Provide thought leadership on platform optimization and future roadmap development.
A minimum of 7-10 years in SaaS or enterprise system configuration is essential, with at least 4 years of specialized, in-depth SAP Fieldglass configuration expertise. Proven experience leading configuration workstreams in at least one global SAP Fieldglass implementation is required.
Possess a strong understanding of contingent workforce and services procurement processes. Experience collaborating with system implementation partners and global vendors is key. Familiarity with integrations (Workday, SAP, Coupa, middleware) and experience managing release governance and change control processes are necessary. A Bachelor’s degree is required, alongside strong technical troubleshooting skills, including debugging and performance analysis. Excellent communication and customer service skills are vital for working effectively with users in a friendly, professional manner. Preferred qualifications include experience in consulting or professional services, multi-country deployments, and knowledge of compliance and audit considerations.
