As an GFOCC Tech, you will maintain and operate a significant portion of the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure. Your responsibilities include remote monitoring and servicing of servers, network, and telecommunication equipment from a centralized hub. Key duties involve remote troubleshooting, triaging, and repairing server and network hardware, coordinating with on-site support, and resolving data center facility issues. You will also participate in site improvement projects, build relationships with remote facilities, and guide vendor resources on AWS standards.
Ideal candidates possess a "can-do" attitude, are highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of 2 years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, along with at least 1 year of computer networking experience, is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. Experience in customer-facing problem resolution and efficient operation under pressure is preferred. The role involves 24x7 shift rotations and requires the ability to innovate effective solutions and perform first-level troubleshooting for facility and rack-level events.
