As an GFOCC Tech at ADSIPL, you will maintain and operate AWS's global cloud infrastructure across numerous locations. Your role involves monitoring and servicing servers, network, and telecommunication equipment remotely from a central hub, requiring strong communication skills to drive change effectively.
Key responsibilities include remote troubleshooting of GFO site networks and compute infrastructure, as well as triaging and repairing server and network hardware in coordination with on-site support. The role operates on a 24x7 shift rotation and involves coordinating the resolution of data center facility issues and facilitating remote hands and eyes for site problems.
You will also participate in site improvement projects, build relationships with remote facilities for rapid event response, and contribute to improving safety and security operational processes. Other duties include attending team meetings for metric analysis, assisting senior technicians with quality checks for new site handovers, and guiding vendor resources on AWS standards and policies.
Ideal candidates are highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a "can-do" attitude. Responsibilities include supervising colocation operators during maintenance, assisting with root cause analysis for operational issues, and performing first-level troubleshooting for facility and rack events.
We seek individuals with experience building relationships across internal and external teams and a proven ability to innovate solutions. Previous hands-on technical troubleshooting experience and a track record of solving complex problems are essential. You will create Change Management tasks, provide remote support to internal teams, and apply basic support concepts like ticketing systems and task prioritization.
Basic Qualifications: - High school or equivalent diploma - 2+ years of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations - 1+ years of experience with Linux operating systems
Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated effectiveness in customer interactions during problem resolution and efficient operation under pressure.
