This role within our Financial Services Risk (FSRM) practice in Business Consulting is pivotal. The financial services industry is undergoing significant transformation, driven by regulatory changes and digital advancements. Our team comprises strategists, technologists, and industry experts who deliver innovative solutions and sustainable value for clients in banking, insurance, and wealth management.

Key responsibilities include performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjustments. You will ensure compliance with accounting policies, IFRS/US GAAP, and internal controls, alongside performing balance sheet substantiation, GL reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Additionally, you will drive finance transformation initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and operational efficiency. This involves identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes, partnering with technology teams for automation solutions, and contributing to digital finance and data governance projects. Support for audits and maintaining the accuracy of financial data are also critical aspects of this role.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, complemented by over three years of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Financial Control functions.

A strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, or local accounting standards is essential, along with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Peoplesoft. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, a practical and agile approach, and the ability to deliver insightful, creative solutions in a collaborative environment.
