Join our team as a General Ledger Accountant, playing a crucial role in executing and supporting all general ledger accounting activities. This position is integral to our month-end close processes, financial reporting, and statutory compliance, operating under the guidance of the GL Manager. The role demands exceptional accuracy and timeliness in daily accounting operations, ensuring adherence to all applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include contributing to month-end close by preparing timelines and coordinating with various teams. You will prepare journal entries, process payroll-related entries, and manage accruals for HR, corporate services, and technology. The role also involves updating lease schedules, maintaining trial balance reconciliations, and performing monthly entries for interest, depreciation, and reclassifications. Variance analysis for MIS reporting and coordination with the tax team for income tax computation and provision posting are also essential. Additionally, you will prepare comprehensive balance sheet schedules with supporting documentation.

We are seeking a candidate with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar ERP systems is mandatory. A strong working knowledge of Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS is required, along with familiarity with GST compliance and reporting. This is an onsite role based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, focused on ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting functions.
