Join EY as a Quantum Senior Associate in India and contribute to cutting-edge Quantum Technology initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a career with a global leader, leveraging your unique skills to enhance our services and foster a better working world.
As a Senior Associate, you will take on greater ownership in solution design, technical execution, and ensuring delivery quality. The position focuses on practical experience in quantum-safe security and quantum computing, translating complex technical concepts into tangible business outcomes. The primary emphasis will be on quantum safety, including post-quantum cryptography readiness, with a secondary focus on quantum computing use cases like optimization, machine learning, and simulation.
Engage in the development of quantum safety and quantum computing solutions, prototypes, and demonstrations. Support post-quantum cryptography readiness assessments through data gathering, analysis, and documentation. Develop and evaluate quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and simulation use cases. Build and maintain software tools, accelerators, and proof-of-concept assets using established engineering practices. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, assessment reports, and presentation materials for diverse stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, AI/ML, platform engineering, and product teams. Participate actively in testing, validation, and benchmarking activities to assess solution performance and applicability. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of advancements in quantum computing, post-quantum cryptography, and related emerging technologies.
A strong foundation in quantum computing concepts, including qubits, gates, quantum circuits, and current hardware limitations is essential. Basic understanding of post-quantum cryptography, key encapsulation mechanisms, digital signatures, and emerging standards is required. Familiarity with cryptographic concepts like public-key cryptography, certificates, and secure communication protocols is beneficial.
Demonstrate experience with at least one quantum development platform (e.g., Qiskit, PennyLane, Cirq, Azure Quantum, AWS Braket). Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with scientific and data analysis libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, pandas) are crucial. Working knowledge of software development fundamentals, including version control and testing practices, is expected. The ability to design and execute experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is vital.
An interest in emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning are important. Experience working with global, cross-functional teams is advantageous. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required, along with 2-5+ years of relevant experience in software development, applied cryptography, cybersecurity, data science, or quantum computing research. Exposure to quantum software development kits or post-quantum cryptography is preferred.
