Join EY and build a career that's as unique as you are. We are seeking a highly responsible GDS Meetings and Events Program Manager to oversee M&E spend and support program activities globally. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day interactions with GDS stakeholders, addressing operational needs, reporting, supplier performance, and driving process improvements for our Global M&E program. You will collaborate with M&E colleagues, suppliers, internal teams, and procurement to champion M&E policies, enhance stakeholder experience, and identify cost-saving opportunities. This position requires independent operation, influencing skills across all levels and geographies, and a dedication to EY's broader travel, meetings, and events objectives.
We value your unique perspective and invite you to contribute to an exceptional experience for yourself and a better working world for all.
As the GDS Meetings and Events Program Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for GDS stakeholders on all M&E program matters, including operational queries, reporting, and policy guidance. You will support senior stakeholders across GDS locations, ensuring alignment with global program objectives and promoting the values and strategy of the Meetings & Events program and the broader procurement function. Key responsibilities include overseeing venue sourcing, event planning, and supplier engagement, acting as an escalation point for supplier-related issues, and supporting procurement activities like RFPs and vendor onboarding.
Furthermore, you will champion compliance with EY's Meetings & Events policies, corporate meetings policy, and procurement procedures. This includes ensuring adherence to standardized meeting contracts and reviewing business compliance across various internal processes. You will also manage and report on key performance indicators, drive cost efficiencies through supplier negotiations, and identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis. Process improvement and global alignment are critical, involving leading M&E projects, identifying best practices, and contributing to the enhancement of M&E processes and stakeholder experience.
We are looking for a candidate with 5–8 years of corporate experience in managing Meetings & Events programs or a senior role within the travel, hospitality, or event planning industry. Experience managing large, complex events or M&E programs in a multinational or cross-cultural environment is highly advantageous.
Essential skills include strong communication, organizational abilities, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure. You must possess robust stakeholder and supplier management skills, strong analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to process improvement and change management in a complex, global setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Experience with event technology platforms such as Cvent, data reporting tools, Power BI, or Ariba is considered a significant advantage.
Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory. While a degree in Business, Hospitality, Travel, Procurement, or a related discipline is preferred, it is not strictly mandatory. The role requires flexible working across multiple time zones, a stable home internet connection for remote collaboration, and potential international travel. Some work outside regular business hours may be necessary.
