Seeking a skilled Functional Verification Engineer to join our Silicon Engineering team. This full-time role involves ensuring the functional correctness of digital designs at both block and system levels. You will develop and execute sophisticated testbenches, employing techniques like constrained-random, directed, and coverage-driven testing.

Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with design and architecture teams to pinpoint challenging scenarios and guarantee comprehensive functional coverage before project tape-out. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in SoC Verification.

Develop and execute advanced testbenches for digital design validation at block and system levels. Create diverse test scenarios, including constrained-random, directed, and coverage-driven tests, utilizing SystemVerilog and UVM. Identify corner cases and ensure complete functional coverage in partnership with design and architecture teams prior to tape-out.

Key responsibilities include expertise in USB protocols (USB 2.0, 3.2, USB4), USB-C, Alt Mode, and Power Delivery. Proficient use of verification methodologies like UVM and assertion-based verification (SVA) is essential. Experience with simulation tools such as Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, and Mentor Questa is required. Post-silicon validation, USB protocol analyser usage, and signal integrity validation are also critical aspects of the role. Scripting for test automation with Python or Perl and familiarity with version control systems like Git are necessary.

A minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in SoC Verification is mandatory. Proficiency in SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) for testbench development is a core requirement. A strong understanding of digital design principles and robust verification techniques is expected. The ability to develop constrained-random, directed, and coverage-driven tests is crucial.

Familiarity with industry-standard simulation tools and effective debugging methodologies is essential. You must be capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including design and architecture. This role requires an independent contributor who can become a Subject Matter Expert (SME), actively participate in team discussions, and contribute to problem-solving. Assistance in documenting verification plans and results, along with supporting junior team members, is also anticipated. Continuous learning to stay updated with best practices is vital.
