The GDS Assurance Digital team offers comprehensive support in solution architecture, application development, testing, and maintenance for the global Assurance service line, addressing both proactive needs and specific client requests.

As a Software Engineer within the GDS Assurance Digital practice in Bangalore, you will contribute to various Microsoft technology-based projects for global clientele. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing technology solutions that drive efficiency and value for our audit clients.

Key responsibilities include working within a team to integrate and enhance software, contributing to different technical streams of Microsoft Technologies. This role demands an ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, apply technology for data modeling, analysis, and process automation, and select appropriate tools and methods for successful project execution.

Expect to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure, demonstrating a systematic approach to problem-solving. You will communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences and manage your work activities to meet quality and time targets, continuously absorbing and applying new technical and business knowledge.

We are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in software engineering, evidenced by a Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MCA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, or a related field, complemented by 4.5 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.

Essential technical proficiencies include robust experience with MVC, .Net Core, and Entity Framework. A solid command of React JS or Angular JS is crucial, alongside expertise in relational database development with MS SQL/SQL Azure, EF 6, and EF Core. Experience in ASP .NET, C#, Windows/Web-based development, Web API, Web Services, and Application Blocks is required.

Familiarity with the Azure stack (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Web Apps) and deployment solutions is beneficial. Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like NUnit, Moq, and Jest, as well as distributed version control systems (Git/SVN), is expected. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of software development best practices and demonstrate excellent business communication skills. Experience with JSON and REST API integration is necessary.
