Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Manager for SDLC Platform Engineering and Automation to lead the technical direction of an enterprise AI platform. This role will transform the software development lifecycle through intelligent automation. The objective is to enhance developer productivity, accelerate software delivery, and improve engineering quality across the organization by designing scalable AI capabilities and integrations.

This position involves defining engineering standards, guiding implementation, and mentoring engineers. You will drive the evolution of event-driven AI towards autonomous, multi-agent systems, ensuring platforms are secure, observable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and Responsible AI principles. The role requires balancing innovation with reliability and operational excellence.

Define the technical roadmap for enterprise AI platforms that automate the software development lifecycle. Design and implement scalable AI capabilities, including integrations with Atlassian products and modern architectural practices like MCP and event-driven systems. Serve as the technical authority for AI architecture, establishing standards and guiding engineering decisions. Mentor engineers and drive the transition towards autonomous, multi-agent AI systems. Evaluate new AI technologies and ensure platform security, resilience, and alignment with enterprise governance.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is mandatory. A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with proven technical leadership in delivering enterprise-scale software platforms. Expertise in enterprise AI, Generative AI, and intelligent agent architectures, with a track record of building secure, scalable production AI solutions. Strong knowledge of cloud-native engineering, distributed systems, API-first design, and event-driven architectures on Azure and AWS. Experience with various AI models and frameworks such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, MCP, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel. Familiarity with DevSecOps ecosystems and CI/CD pipelines, including Atlassian products, is preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and mentor engineering teams.
