Develop and configure AI connectors, plugins, and MCP servers, ensuring secure integrations with business-unit data and AI platforms. Translate business requirements into detailed implementation designs, collaborating closely with source owners. Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, adhering to least-privilege principles. Engineer reliable API behavior with features like pagination, retries, and rate-limit handling. Create comprehensive unit, integration, end-to-end, security, and performance tests.
Participate in formal intake processes for architecture, Security, Legal, and privacy reviews. Administer platform configurations and registrations, deploying integrations solely through approved environments. Maintain version-controlled code, conduct peer reviews, and implement CI/CD practices. Instrument monitoring and alerts, protect sensitive log data, and maintain runbooks for support and audit purposes.
Diagnose and resolve integration failures, collaborating with various teams including cloud, platform, and network specialists. Supply test evidence and support readiness for pilot, limited availability, and general availability gates. Comply with all company policies and business directives.
Requires demonstrated experience in AI integration development, including hands-on development, deployment, and troubleshooting of connectors, plugins, or MCP servers with a validated release. Must possess transferable diagnostic skills across different AI ecosystems and be able to explain architecture, package structures, testing, and failure handling.
Experience connecting enterprise APIs or data sources to at least one AI platform is essential, with a practical understanding of authentication, source authorization mapping, and secure retrieval or approved tool execution. Generic model-training, ETL, or UI-only administration experience alone is not sufficient.
Solid proficiency in Python or Java is required, with the ability to work with the other language. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is necessary. Three or more years of hands-on software or integration development experience is preferred. Working knowledge of REST/JSON, OAuth, automated testing, version control, peer review, and CI/CD is also required.
Familiarity with AI and enterprise governance, legal review, data privacy, and least-privilege principles is beneficial. Ability to document data flows and controls, participate in required reviews, implement approved restrictions, and escalate risks is expected. Final approval authority rests with designated architecture, Security, Legal, privacy, and IAM owners.
