As a Software Development Engineer, you will lead the development of robust, scalable software solutions and services for consumer experiences. A key aspect of this role involves designing systems for low latency and high scalability, working across diverse technologies, and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Key responsibilities include shaping the technical roadmap, strategy, and customer experience for FireTV initiatives. You will facilitate technical architecture across complex systems, build consensus for the technical vision, and proactively address technical risks. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial to delivering exceptional products. You'll also be expected to lead high-performing teams, mentor engineers, and clearly communicate progress, risks, and successes to leadership.

We are seeking an engineer with at least 3 years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Essential qualifications include over 2 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability. Proficiency in at least one software programming language is required.

Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is also preferred.
