Within EY's Business Consulting Practice, the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group offers solutions to help FSO clients identify, measure, manage, and monitor various risks associated with their trading, asset-liability management, capital management, and capital markets activities. The CSTC team within FSRM specifically supports end-to-end capital management, Basel, credit risk, and stress testing initiatives.
This role focuses on critical deliverables for senior management and regulators, including credit risk reviews, capital projections, Basel 4, Basel 3 endgame, and Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP). You will also be involved in consulting and solution delivery, quality assurance, and early identification of prudential developments impacting the capital framework.
Support detailed implementation planning, governance, and project management for the Basel III Proposal Roadmap. Refresh the Basel III / ERBA gap assessment and identify necessary data elements for regulatory capital calculations and reporting.
Perform data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality and suitability for regulatory requirements. Document data sourcing, transformation, and calculation logic for various exposure types, including derivatives and operational risk.
Develop source-to-target mappings and business data dictionaries. Assist in UCL Data Factory activities, including data movement logic and validation. Map data elements to Axiom calculation inputs and document business rules.
Aid in the design, build, and testing of interim ERBA calculators. Support testing of calculator outputs and reconciliation of data. Design and document controls for new data elements.
Recommend enhancements for data capture and management processes. Coordinate with various teams to drive agile execution across project sprints. Prepare clear, executive-ready documentation, including requirements packs, status decks, and steering committee materials.
Responsibly utilize AI and automation tools to enhance analysis, documentation quality, and workflow efficiency.
A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, or information systems is required, along with at least 5 years of experience in banking, consulting, risk management, regulatory capital, data management, or regulatory reporting. A strong understanding of Basel III requirements, ERBA concepts, RWA calculations, credit risk, and regulatory reporting processes is essential.
Demonstrated experience in Basel implementation, gap assessments, data sourcing, calculation logic documentation, data quality remediation, or regulatory reporting change programs is crucial. You should possess strong business and data analysis skills, including requirements documentation, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, and control documentation.
Ability to comprehend exposure-level requirements across various financial products is necessary. Experience working collaboratively with senior stakeholders from Risk, Finance, Credit, Technology, Data, Operations, and business teams is expected. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital for translating regulatory requirements into practical deliverables.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, with proficiency in preparing executive-ready PowerPoint materials and other documentation. A focus on delivery excellence, attention to detail, process discipline, and continuous improvement is highly valued.
