EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) is seeking a Manager/Senior for its Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) - Basel III Business Analyst role. This team focuses on end-to-end capital management, BASEL, credit risk, and stress testing.

You will play a key role in producing critical deliverables for senior management and regulators, covering credit risk reviews, capital projections, Basel 4, Basel 3 endgame, and stress testing. The role also involves consulting on impact assessments, defining target operating models, and ensuring quality assurance of regulatory reporting controls. Clients are typically large domestic and global financial institutions, and project teams frequently engage with senior executives like CFOs and CROs.

This role focuses on supporting the Basel III Proposal Roadmap implementation, including restarting the program, adopting the Expanded Risk-Based Approach (ERBA), and accelerating Single Counterparty Credit Limits (SCCL) exposure measurements. You will contribute to onboarding incremental Basel III data requirements into the Unified Consumption Layer (UCL) Data Factory.

Key activities include detailed implementation planning, gap assessment, data profiling, and documenting data sourcing, transformation, and calculation logic for various ERBA exposure types. You will develop source-to-target mappings, business data dictionaries, and support UCL Data Factory activities. The role also involves mapping data to Axiom calculation inputs, assisting in ERBA calculator development and testing, identifying and documenting controls, and recommending process enhancements.

You will coordinate with various teams to drive agile execution, prepare executive-ready documentation, and leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and quality. Responsibilities extend to supporting testing, reconciliation, and user acceptance testing with agreed project accelerators.

A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, or information systems is required, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in banking, consulting, risk management, regulatory capital, data management, or regulatory reporting.

Essential qualifications include a strong understanding of Basel III / Basel III Endgame / Basel III Proposal requirements, ERBA concepts, RWA calculations, regulatory capital, credit risk, counterparty credit risk, operational risk, and regulatory reporting processes. Experience in supporting Basel implementation, gap assessments, data sourcing, calculation logic documentation, data quality remediation, or regulatory reporting change programs is crucial.

This position demands robust business and data analysis skills, including requirements documentation, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, data lineage, metadata management, reconciliation, and control documentation. The ability to understand exposure-level requirements across diverse asset classes and work professionally with senior stakeholders from Risk, Finance, Credit, Technology, Data, Operations, and business teams is vital. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are expected. A focus on delivery excellence, attention to detail, and continuous improvement is also key.
