Join EY's Risk Consulting team within the Financial Services Office, specializing in Financial Services Risk Management. We provide comprehensive consulting services to financial institutions, focusing on market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a career within a global, inclusive, and technology-driven organization dedicated to creating long-term value and building trust in capital markets.
Our Financial Services Risk Management group offers integrated solutions to help clients identify, measure, manage, and monitor various risks associated with their trading, asset-liability management, capital management, and other capital markets activities. Become part of a dynamic team that leverages deep industry experience and functional expertise to drive impactful client outcomes.
As a key member of our team, you will conduct in-depth financial analysis of counterparties, including public-sector entities and corporations. Your responsibilities will include supporting credit-risk assessments, contributing to internal rating activities, and assisting in the preparation and validation of data for rating processes. You will also be involved in drafting credit analysis reports, performing data quality controls, and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to enhance processes and documentation.
Key duties involve building and validating financial models in Excel, analyzing large datasets for comparative insights, and applying project finance principles to assess structures and metrics. You will also evaluate sovereign and quasi-sovereign credit risk, perform corporate and sectoral assessments, and review financing documentation. Additionally, you will prepare analytical credit memoranda, support regulatory change impact analyses, and mentor junior consultants.
We are seeking candidates with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance/Economics) or a CA qualification, complemented by 3-8 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or risk-related roles. A foundational understanding of financial statements, core credit risk principles, and familiarity with project finance, corporate, or sovereign risk concepts are essential.
Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, with a foundational knowledge of Power BI and/or SQL being a significant advantage. You should possess a working knowledge of Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Financial Reporting frameworks. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly are vital for collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. An automation and innovation mindset, with a willingness to improve processes and tools, is highly valued.
