As a Frontend Engineer, you will craft user interfaces for Sarvam's AI stack in challenging, real-world conditions. This role involves owning the frontend development of multiple 'atoms' – reusable product components – and close collaboration with backend engineers, product managers, and deployment teams.

Your work will focus on interfaces designed for offline-first, low-bandwidth, and hardened client environments, going beyond typical development setups. You'll design and implement performant, production-grade interfaces for critical AI use cases including geospatial overlays, simulation UIs, natural language access, ontology viewers, data ingestion dashboards, and intricate enterprise workflows.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of frontend layers, from component architecture to deployment in client-embedded settings. You will build for constrained environments, contribute to shared frontend infrastructure like component libraries and design systems, and participate in field testing and client feedback loops.

We are seeking experienced Frontend Engineers with 3–6 years of hands-on experience in building production-grade products. A deep proficiency in React and TypeScript is essential, alongside modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind.

Strong understanding of component architecture and proficiency in state management tools such as Zustand or Redux Toolkit are required. Experience with asynchronous data patterns is also crucial. Candidates should possess data visualization experience, ideally with D3.js, Mapbox/Leaflet, Deck.gl for geospatial applications, or Recharts.

Familiarity with REST and WebSocket API integration, along with sufficient backend awareness for debugging, is necessary. Expertise in performance engineering, including bundle optimization, lazy loading, and rendering performance in resource-limited scenarios, is highly valued. Bonus points for experience with WebGL, Three.js for 3D visualization, Electron, PWA architecture, or prior work on dashboards and complex enterprise tooling.
