As a Front-End Engineer II, you will be instrumental in building responsive, performant, and accessible web applications. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of UX designers, product managers, software engineers, and scientists. Your work will directly influence front-end architecture, establish best practices, and elevate the engineering standards for seller experiences across FBA. Design, develop, and launch high-quality web experiences for FBA sellers globally. Translate complex inventory placement, capacity, cost, and delivery workflows into simple, intuitive user interfaces. Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to transform customer needs into scalable technical solutions. Take ownership of significant front-end features from conception through launch and continuous improvement. Develop reusable UI components, frameworks, and patterns to enhance consistency and accelerate development. Make critical architectural and technology decisions for large-scale front-end applications, balancing immediate needs with long-term maintainability. Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs and distributed services, designing for resilience and performance. Deliver responsive, performant, secure, and accessible experiences across various devices and platforms. Apply strong computer science fundamentals to write clean, extensible, and maintainable code. Enhance engineering quality through code reviews, automated testing, and operational excellence. Investigate and resolve customer and operational issues across the full application stack. Influence technical direction and collaborate with engineers across FBA and Amazon. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, alongside a strong foundation in computer science principles including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in front-end, web, or mobile software development, utilizing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is required.
Demonstrated experience with popular JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular is essential.
Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of experience with agile software development methodologies and familiarity with common front-end technologies like TypeScript and Node.js.
