As a Manager of a GenAI Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will guide AI/ML engineers in bridging the gap between advanced AI products and production-grade reality for customers. Serve as the technical lead, establishing robust code standards, architectural best practices, and performance benchmarks to enhance engineering excellence across the team. Collaborate closely with sales and technical leadership to define requirements for high-impact opportunities, strategically deploying specialized experts such as MLOps, GenMedia, or Agentic systems to key accounts.

Lead the technical hiring process for FDE roles, meticulously evaluating candidates on their AI/ML expertise, systems engineering capabilities, and coding proficiency to build an exceptional engineering talent pool. Proactively identify skill gaps in emerging technologies like MCP, tool-calling, and foundation models, ensuring the team consistently maintains subject matter expertise within the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Foster close collaboration with product and engineering teams to swiftly resolve blockers and translate critical field insights into actionable roadmaps, while simultaneously developing internal tools to optimize organizational efficiency.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud computing or a customer-facing technical role, complemented by 2 years of experience managing a software engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), or similar technical customer-facing team within a cloud computing environment.

Demonstrated experience in developing AI/GenAI solutions using AI tools, or in designing multi-agent workflows or Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems is essential. Proficiency in Python or a similar coding language is also a key requirement for this role.
