Join Microsoft in revolutionizing cloud technology for global customers, aiming for the lowest total cost of ownership. This role seeks motivated System Integration and Validation Engineers with a strong background in firmware development, integration, and validation for embedded systems.
Be part of a team driving innovation and efficiency in firmware engineering. We are dedicated to advancing cloud infrastructure and empowering businesses worldwide.
Key responsibilities include coordinating, integrating, validating, and debugging system software across server architecture domains like SoC FWs, BIOS, and BMC. You will develop validation plans, create test content, automate executions, and triage failures, becoming a point of contact for platform-level issues.
Collaborate closely with architects, firmware, program management, and development teams to drive daily operations and long-term roadmap improvements. A passion for exploring and implementing novel methods to enhance test coverage, release automation, and FW release efficiency is highly valued.
We are looking for candidates with a BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience, coupled with over 3 years of professional experience in design, development, integration, validation, or system-level debugging of embedded systems.
Proficiency in Python, C, or C++ is essential. Demonstrated experience in system-level integration, validation (including infrastructure setup), automation frameworks, and system software debugging is required. Experience in server-space validation/development is a significant advantage. Familiarity with creating validation test plans, developing test content, automating execution, and working with CI/CD pipelines is expected. Experience with firmware development and testing across multiple hardware environments (FPGA, Emulation, Simulation) and system-level debugging (including production issues) is also crucial. A good understanding of hardware debuggers like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers is necessary.
