As a Network Security Specialist Advisor, you will handle all aspects of network security operations, including implementing solutions and providing crucial support. You'll work with leading technologies such as Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, alongside cloud proxy solutions like Netskope.

Key duties involve expert configuration and troubleshooting of Palo Alto features, including URL filtering, vulnerability protection, and App-ID. You will also manage technical escalations, develop custom reports, and provide 24x7 on-call support for high-severity incidents. Maintaining operational standards, performing system maintenance, and proposing improvements are also essential.

Responsibilities extend to assisting with daily operations, managing upgrades and patches, conducting rule set reviews, and ensuring all Service Level Agreements are met. You will also be responsible for detecting security issues and managing them through to resolution.

This role requires a minimum of 12 years of network security administration experience, with at least 7 years specifically in network and security administration, and 12+ years in network troubleshooting. Proven hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Prisma, and Fortinet is mandatory.

We are looking for candidates with strong troubleshooting skills, an understanding of authentication protocols (LDAP, IWA, SSO, Active Directory), and familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems. A solid grasp of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and switching technologies is also necessary. Possession of at least two mid-level network security certifications from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet is required.

Additional qualifications include excellent customer-facing communication skills, ITIL best practices knowledge (certification is a plus), and flexibility to adapt to changing customer needs. Experience with F5, AWS networking, and network design will be advantageous. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is also considered.
