As a Network Security Specialist Advisor, you will manage requests, changes, incidents, and problems within customer network security infrastructures. Responsibilities include implementing network security solutions, providing operational support for Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls, and cloud proxy solutions like Netskope.

You will leverage expert knowledge of Palo Alto features such as URL filtering, vulnerability protection, and app-ID. Troubleshooting complex issues using packet captures and debugs on Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls is key. The role involves providing technical escalation, writing custom Palo Alto queries for reporting, and delivering on-call support in a 24x7 environment.

Key duties also include ensuring Service Level Agreements are met, performing system maintenance, maintaining documentation, and proposing service and technical improvements. You will assist in daily operations, conduct health status checks, manage upgrades and patches, and review rule sets to enhance customer security footprints.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 12 years of Network Security administration experience and 7 years specifically in Network & Security administration. Proven hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Prisma, and Fortinet is essential.

Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with Palo Alto Firewalls, and a solid understanding of template/stack architecture are required. Candidates should possess excellent time management, customer-facing communication skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices. Experience with network protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and switching technologies is highly valued.

An understanding of authentication protocols (LDAP, IWA, SSO, Active Directory) and operating systems (Windows, Linux) is necessary. Holding at least two mid-level network security certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, PCNSE) is required. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is expected.
