As a Finance Relationship Owner (FRO), you'll be a vital part of the Global Controlling Decision Support Finance team, instrumental in guiding Global Entities toward their financial objectives. This role involves extensive collaboration with business stakeholders and various Finance support structures, offering analytical expertise, functional insights, reporting solutions, and best practice sharing to drive financial success.

Key responsibilities include serving as a primary financial contact for Global Functions or Service Lines, delivering insightful analysis to executive leaders. You will proactively communicate financial performance, identify and resolve issues, and monitor results against targets using COE reports. This role also encompasses explaining critical finance activities like annual plans, forecasts, and closing procedures, alongside taking full ownership of the budgeting process, including challenging and consolidating budgets and forecasts. Collaboration with GDS-based analysts is essential for managing engagement codes, AP invoices, POs, billings, and accruals, ensuring financial accuracy and proposing corrective actions. You will provide expert financial advice, manage relationships with CFOs and their teams, and drive key financial planning processes. Synthesizing financial data, communicating performance views, advising on expected financial outcomes, and assessing performance drivers for continuous improvement are core to this position.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and the ability to thrive in a virtual global environment, respecting diverse cultures, are essential. Success in this role hinges on a strong analytical mindset, a focus on providing advice and solutions that enhance financial performance, and a deep understanding of the firm's external services and market landscape. Excellent commercial awareness regarding EY's market position and ambitions is highly valued.
