As a Fabric Data Engineer, you will be responsible for administering and managing Microsoft Fabric environments. This includes configuring tenant settings, managing workspaces and capacities, and implementing robust security roles and permissions.

You will also be tasked with overseeing service principals, gateways, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting complex issues. A strong understanding of SQL, incremental loading techniques, watermarks, and SCD Type 1/Type 2 implementations is crucial.

Your role will involve working with Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake structures, utilizing shortcuts, and developing metadata-driven pipelines. You will ensure proper audit and error handling, and manage deployments across Dev, QA, and Prod environments.

Furthermore, you will leverage Power BI for semantic modeling, Direct Lake, DirectQuery, and RLS implementation. Expertise in DAX, refresh troubleshooting, Power Query/M, and Power Automate for transformations, query folding, and API integrations is essential.

We are looking for a candidate with 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric.

Essential skills include: - Comprehensive Microsoft Fabric administration (tenant settings, workspace/capacity management, security, service principals, gateways, monitoring, troubleshooting) - Advanced SQL capabilities, including incremental loading, watermarks, and SCD Type 1/Type 2 - Understanding of Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, shortcuts, Dataflows Gen2, metadata-driven pipelines, and deployment strategies - Proficient in Power BI for semantic modeling, Direct Lake, DirectQuery, RLS, DAX, and troubleshooting - Skilled in Power Query/M and Power Automate for data transformations, query folding, pipeline automation, and API interactions.

Beneficial skills include working knowledge of PySpark, Delta Lake optimization, notebooks, partitioning, z-ordering, liquid clustering, Fabric REST APIs, PowerShell or Python for automation, Git, CI/CD, Microsoft Purview, data governance, and sensitivity labels.
