Join EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Assurance FAAS team as a Manager, specializing in Transactions. This role is integral to EY's global strategy, providing critical support for financial accounting and advisory services to clients worldwide. Lead global and domestic client service teams in executing critical FAAS solutions, including accounting for transactions like purchase price adjustments, divestitures, IPOs, SPACs, and bankruptcy accounting. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements and MD&A, performing GAAP conversions, and managing accounting policy and governance.

Key responsibilities include conducting technical accounting research and advisory, managing remediation and readiness initiatives, and organizing technical training sessions. You will also address service delivery quality issues and ensure adherence to EY Global Standards.

Manage and develop a team of Assistant Managers and Seniors, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time and within budget. Conduct performance reviews, act as a positive mentor, and identify development opportunities for team members. Enhance relationships with global teams, leverage connections to identify work opportunities for GDS, and apply independent professional judgment to accounting standards.

Contribute to practice development through thought leadership, industry events, and team communications. Actively support FAAS leadership in growth and quality initiatives, and participate in business development activities to identify new client opportunities.

A professional with expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and International accounting standards is required. Extensive hands-on experience is essential in transaction accounting and reporting (IPOs, SPACs, carve-outs, PPA), GAAP conversions, implementation of new accounting standards, and drafting/designing accounting policies.

Further requirements include experience in technical accounting research and advisory, consolidation and compilation support, and financial statement close process support. Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice are necessary. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills are crucial for success in this role.

Ideally, candidates will have experience working with international clients and a proven track record with a leading consulting firm. A Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) qualification is preferred, coupled with 6-10 years of post-qualification experience in assurance or finance controllership roles, including over 2 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience. Prior Big 10 experience and exposure to data analytics and visualization tools are considered added advantages.
