This Senior position within EY GDS FAAS (Controllership Transformation) offers the opportunity to drive significant change in financial operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of accounting advisory services by developing innovative solutions and fostering client relationships.
As a Senior FAAS professional, you will lead transformation initiatives across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, utilizing deep techno-functional expertise to drive strategic improvements beyond system implementation. You will own and lead enhancements in areas such as Revenue Recognition, Accruals, Intercompany Reconciliation, Manual Journal Entries and Automation, Asset Accounting, Chart of Accounts & Accounting Master Data, Account Reconciliation, Subledger Accounting, Consolidation, Financial Statement Preparation, Notes and Disclosures, Cost Accounting & Inventory, and Profitability Analysis. You will also support the design and integration of ERP platforms with AI-based solutions, defining and implementing AI use cases within R2R processes, particularly in SAP environments. Driving consolidation process design and execution, including data structures, mapping, and effective tool utilization (SAP Group Reporting, SAP BPC, Oracle FCCS), is a key responsibility. You will lead workstreams, ensure timely and quality delivery, and define/implement AI-driven solutions and automation opportunities.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for decision-making, process optimization, resource management, and team supervision. This includes personnel allocation, task assignment, ensuring team support, and performance evaluation to meet organizational goals. In business development, you will lead pursuit teams, formulate client-specific solutions, and drive proposal development. Collaborating with market teams and cross-service lines will be crucial for business growth and project execution. You will also lead internal capability development through training sessions and drive operational initiatives within practice areas.
To excel in this role, you should possess deep expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R), Invoice-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash areas. Essential technical skills include certification and/or sound experience with ERP systems like SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO/COPA, SAP Central Finance, Oracle Fusion Finance, and Oracle Netsuite. Experience with digital finance solutions such as Blackline, Trintech, High Radius, and various RPA solutions is highly valued, as is knowledge of AI/ML/Gen-AI & Analytics solutions in finance, particularly within R2R. You should have a solid understanding of consolidation, reporting, inter-company, and ERP data structures, coupled with experience in current state analysis (As-is), future state analysis (To-be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, and data management.
Strong business development, solution conceptualization/ideation, and solution/product build skills are vital. Excellent project management capabilities are required. Human skills are equally important, including excellent written and oral communication, a flexible work attitude, and proven ability to lead diverse teams across geographies. Strong collaboration skills, the ability to comprehend complexity quickly, comfort with ambiguity, and entrepreneurial skills in terms of problem and solution ownership are essential. You must also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to perform effectively under pressure, and a willingness to travel at short notice.
To qualify, you must have a CA, MBA (Finance) with a Commerce background, CWA, CMA, CFA, or M.Com. A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant consulting experience in record-to-report transformation (industry user experience is not a substitute) is required. Experience working with international clients and previous multinational consulting firms or Big4 firms is preferred.
