This role within EY GDS FAAS (Control and Compliance) focuses on providing advisory services related to accounting and regulatory support, including accounting change, special matters, and robust control frameworks.

As a SOX professional, you'll be instrumental in driving financial reporting reliability and operational efficiency. This position demands a qualified CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA with substantial experience in Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and a deep understanding of SOX audit processes. You will manage significant projects encompassing SOX implementation, documentation, control testing, and internal control evaluation.

Lead SOX and IFC design, walkthroughs, and implementation, performing business process reviews and creating flowcharts and Risk Control Matrices (RCMs).

Conduct risk assessments, identify key accounts, and prepare comprehensive SOX documentation, including narratives, flowcharts, and RACM.

Test the design and operating effectiveness of controls, proposing enhancements, and leading SOX compliance phases through testing and reporting.

Support audit planning and execution, ensuring clear communication of control deficiencies and remediation efforts.

Drive business development by understanding client needs, conceptualizing solutions, and leading proposal development. Collaborate across service lines and market teams to foster growth and execute projects seamlessly.

Contribute to internal capability development through training and coaching, and lead operational initiatives within practice areas.

Possess a CA/CPA/ACCA qualification with over 3 years of relevant experience, or 2–7 years of experience specifically in SOX/IFC implementation.

Demonstrate extensive experience in RACM, control testing, and remediation, coupled with a strong grasp of the COSO framework and PCAOB requirements.

Exhibit a solid understanding of financial statements (Indian/US GAAP) and proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, and MS Office tools.

Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to lead diverse teams across multiple geographies and comprehend complexity rapidly.

Experience with international clients or previous engagements with multinational consulting firms or Big4 firms is highly preferred.
