EY's Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) division is seeking a Senior SOX professional to join their Control and Compliance team. As a senior member of the team, you will leverage your expertise in Internal Financial Control (IFC) and SOX audit processes to manage complex projects. This position is ideal for a qualified professional looking to apply their skills in a dynamic and growth-oriented setting.

As a SOX professional, you will be responsible for executing SOX and IFC design, walkthroughs, and implementations. This includes performing business process reviews, creating flowcharts and Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), and conducting risk assessments to identify key accounts. You will prepare comprehensive SOX documentation, test control designs and operating effectiveness, and lead SOX compliance phases. Furthermore, you will support audit planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring clear communication of control deficiencies and remediation plans. Key duties also involve decision-making, process optimization, resource management, and overseeing team performance to ensure successful task execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

To excel in this role, you should possess a CA/CPA/ACCA qualification with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, alongside 2–7 years specifically in SOX/IFC implementation. Essential experience includes working with RACM, control testing, and remediation, coupled with a strong understanding of the COSO framework and PCAOB requirements. A solid grasp of financial statements (Indian/US GAAP) is crucial, along with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, and MS Office tools is expected. Prior experience with international clients or in a multinational consulting/Big 4 firm environment is highly preferred.
