Our GDS Assurance practice operates globally, with professionals across numerous locations. We enable account teams worldwide by delivering seamless, high-quality support, including consulting, assurance, tax, and strategy services. Our innovation specialists also contribute by bringing together advanced technologies and skilled teams to foster innovative thinking and rapid prototyping.
As a key member of the FAAS team, you will manage the quality and timeliness of service delivery according to project requirements, possessing strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. Responsibilities include directing fieldwork, reporting engagement status, and managing client expectations for deliverables. You will apply professional judgment to accounting standards, stay informed of professional standards and firm policies, and effectively address complex client situations.
Key duties involve preparing materials, leading client workshops, coordinating team activities, and providing guidance to junior members. You will also contribute to practice development through thought leadership, event participation, and training. Building strong networks, managing client accounts, and driving innovation by implementing new ways of working are also integral to this role. Effective relationship management with clients and accountability for decision-making, resource management, and team performance are essential.
To excel in this role, you will need a solid understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, or UK GAAP, along with International Auditing Standards. Expertise in technical accounting advisory on complex topics such as revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, consolidation, share-based payments, and financial instruments is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills are required, as is the ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues.
We seek individuals comfortable with uncertainty, who take personal responsibility for delivery quality, and foster a positive team mentality. Confidence with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, is important, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for detailed analysis. Experience with accounting change, special matters, white paper writing, financial statement preparation, accounting processes, and audit support is highly valued. Qualified candidates must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) designation, with 3-6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
