This Manager role within EY's Corporate Finance practice, specifically the Valuations team, offers a unique opportunity to specialize in real estate valuation, analytical services, and comprehensive business advisory. You will serve a diverse clientele, including developers, investors, lenders, and Fortune 500 corporations.
We are seeking highly analytical and detail-oriented Managers with demonstrated expertise in Business Valuations. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting in-depth financial analysis and valuations across various asset classes and industries. Your role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders to produce precise, insightful, and timely valuation reports that significantly influence critical business and investment decisions. Execute comprehensive company and asset valuations using established methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions.
Develop and present detailed valuation reports, financial models, and presentations for both internal teams and external clients.
Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, market dynamics, and prevailing industry trends.
Provide crucial support for valuations related to audits and tax matters, assisting with fair value assessments under IFRS/GAAP.
Systematically maintain and update all valuation models and associated databases.
Gain exposure to diverse engagements, including intangible asset valuations for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, corporate restructuring, and strategic initiatives.
Leverage secondary research skills for in-depth analysis, report generation, and sophisticated financial modeling.
Cultivate and nurture strong, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices worldwide.
Supervise, guide, and mentor professionals at the Staff and Senior levels, fostering their professional growth.
Utilize current technological tools and platforms to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered.
Possess a postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA), or Business, complemented by 9-11 years of relevant professional experience.
Acquire 4-6 years of direct, hands-on experience applying valuation techniques and methodologies, such as Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, and market comparables. This experience should be from a business valuation firm, practice, or in roles within venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, or a national valuation firm. Alternatively, experience in a corporate finance role with client-facing responsibilities, particularly in M&A activities, is valuable.
Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, ideally with experience building models from scratch using MS Excel and related software.
Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills, essential for effective client interaction and reporting.
Display excellent analytical thinking, project management capabilities, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Possess experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance, with proven client handling abilities.
Be willing and able to travel as required to meet engagement needs.
Exhibit familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
Preferably have achieved or be making significant progress towards professional certifications like CFA, ASA, or CPA.
